Haven't found an answer to this one but I'm sure its not new.

Doors won't lock on the remote but it may be something I've done. Sat in the disco last night with the engine off but ignition on for the radio, came to restart and got key light on the dash so I removed the key and pressed the unlock button on the remote fob to clear the light. Disco started and drove all ok. Got home got out and it wouldn't lock but if left a few minutes the immobiliser/alarm seemed to set.

All ideas/solutions gratefully received.

The immobiliser is 'passive ' so will automatically set, but the alarm is set manually via the fob or the key locking the drivers door.

So wouldn't lock? is that with both the fob and the key?

Locks on the key and I can unlock/turn off immobiliser with the fob/remote, just wont lock/set alarm with fob

And you have tried a new battery in the fob and/or pressed the lock button 4 times to sync with the ecu :)

Tried the pressing lock four times, don't know if thats quickly or slowly etc. Will change the battery next though I know the existing one has power as it will disarm the immobiliser

Yes but not good enough to transmit a lock signal, maybe., and just stand by the unlocked vehicle and press lock 4 times.
