yeah, its a little involed (but not difficult) to get your radio out and fit the new center part.
Remove the rear center console by flipping up the cover directly below the handbrake lever and loosen (but dont remove) the two screws, open the cubby lid and remove the 4 screws and take the tray complete with lid out. next, remove two screws inside, unclip the wiring for the rear accessory socket, and remove the rear half of the center console.
Remove the front center console as follows..... 2 screws (torx) on the side by the gear lever, unclip and remove the gear lever gaiter and unplug the hdc switch, unscrew the gear knob. if its auto, pull the knob off with a hard sharp pull then unclip the lever surround and unplug, flip out a plasic cover on the top of the console directly under the cener heater vents, remove the 2 screws under it, pull the console back and unplug all the switches and ciggy lighter.
with all that out of the way, you'll see 4 screws that hold the radio in, remove the screws and pull the radio out, unplug then fit your new facia, put it all back together and fit your new CD player. you may need a convertor lead to connect your new radio to the freelander wiring.
