Has anyone taken the carpets and rubber matting out of their RR's (due to wet footwell syndrome) and replaced them- if so, what with?

I have wet footwells which i think are cured now, but i have taken (cut) out the carpets and rubber matting- am not sure what to replace them with any ideas much appreciated!
ps am not wanting to put more carpet in as truck is used as a shooting wagon etc.

Didnt replace it.Pulled out the soundproofing cos its was perminatly wet. That stuff never dries! The put the carpet back. Its thick carpet and deaend the sound enough for me.If yer just shooting some dcent thick rubber matting would do the job.

i went to scrap yard and got some conveyor belt from the quarry.Gunna make some wheel arch liners too but its made nice sound deader under carpet.

I worked in a rock quarry about 20 years ago, I remember conveyor belt being real tough stuff but maybe a bit inflexible? Am off to the quarry to see some old pals!!!

Might be just the job, hard wearing for sure!!
