No. It's designed for setting up multiple carbs so they all work together.

any chance you can point me in the right direction of something that would help me set my carb up right, im a total novice and my landy is running rough, Ive had a play with the carb and its close but not quite there....

There's not much you can actually adjust on a carb - The tickover RPM is set with the throttle stop and the slow running mixture screw will set a stable tickover, the two are adjusted together. Any car manual should describe the process. If it's running rough through the rev range then (making the BIG assumption that the ignition is spot on) it's something more fundamental wrong with the carb. Things like air leaks at the manifold or between the two halves of the carb, incorrect float height causing starvation or flooding, or just dirt. Or, possibly, poor fuel flow caused by faulty lift pump or clogged fuel filters.
What carb is it?

its a zennith, just cant seem to get the bloody thing to just run right, im slowly getting more and more ****ed off with it to be honest, I dont think theres much wrong, its hard to explain, but when your driving it as your powering up the revs, the the first little bit of accleration is a bit putt putt like its holding back, then after that as my foot depresses the throttle it suddenly kicks in and away it goes as it should, it was running really rough but after playing with the mixture screw its no end better, how do I setup the carb and where is the screw to set the idle speed, I know these are dumb questions, but im a total novice and on a big learning curve, since getting the landy Ive put a whole new distributor on it, new points and condenser, new coil, new spark plugs, changed all the oil's, the lot, so now im down to the carb, any help would be very much appreciated :doh:

Make sure the ignition timing is correct if you've replaced the dizzy and check the vacuum advance pipe for leaks. The Zenith carbs are notorious for warping - the main body and top plate don't fit together and allow air into the intake which often causes popping and banging. It's easy enough to fix and there's several threads on here about it. Hesitation could be ignition timing, weak pump or dirt in the carb. Carbs are reasonably easy to rebuild but will always need at least a gasket set if not a rebuild set before you start.
