Small issue, and I've searched but can't see anyone else who's had this problem

My 2001 Disco has the original cassette deck R990 with cd changer. It all works, and the led display works, but there is no illumination on any other part of the head unit when the lights are switched on, which is a pain at night!

Is this likely to be an issue with the unit itself or something else. All other interior lights, instrument lights etc work fine.

I don't want to replace it with another unit, only to have the same issue.

Cheers.

With out checking who can say. Why not look if the head units illumination feed at the rear of the unit is still connected and/or live when the dash illumination/side lights are on.

I've removed the unit, all wires are connected, but I've no idea which connector is for the illumination?

There is a grey and brown multi plug then above them a multicoloured multi plug.

Thanks.

After much faffing, and no result, I've changed it for a Pioneer Bluetooth unit. At last, I can now see what I'm doing in the dark. o_O
