Yeah, yeah...clean up your minds....is the 200tdi that I can't get in. 11 bolts lined up with 11 holes...almost through the gearbox half of the bellhousing...but not quite...I guess it must be the drive shaft that is catching, but have checked clutch alignment three times.... any clues? hints? cheers...
 
is this a disco 200 to a defender box? have you removed the dowells that are in the way?
 
How'd it go? I can't offer any advice (sorry) but if you've sussed out what the problem was, I'm sure it'll be useful to know when I do my conversion next month!

Garage needed their engine hoist back today....will hopefully get it sorted tomorrow!
 
After a week of enforced inactivity, I finally got hold of the engine hoist this morning. Gave the Beast a severe talking to, attached the two chains...lifted the engine...and slotted it straight in! :doh: Hey ho....
 
took me about 5 or 6 trys to get mine in , all plain sailing for you now fella . i hope
