Easily?
I'm asking as I'm after a 110 csw but would like the heated front screen, are the wiring looms all the same so that I could change the screen and replace with a heated?

I wouldnt have thought so. but it would be easy to wire in anyway. Im also after a heated screen, let me know if you find them cheap anywhere

If you did go down the insurance route how would that work? Heated screens are not standard equip, wouldnt they know you were bull****tin? I would love to do it as my screen is scratched to **** and want the upgrade. but i dunno i dont like getting in trouble

cant you speak to the fitter and pay the extra ? (if you go to a local registered fitter sure he could work it out for you )

is that how it works? never done it before so dont know. Do the insurance company just send you to someone and foot the bill? hmmmmm...

if you talk to a local 1 he will advise you
back a few years ago i had 1 go on my old passat, phoned my insurance broker and they said get a recognized fitter to do it and he will claim from the insurer (you pay your windscreen exccess)
best thing to do is ask a fitter a hipathetical question
