I did do a search but couldn't see an identical wheel.

I bought a set of these for my 1998 300tdi but they don't fit. Seller said he had them fitted to a 1995 Defender before he sold it and the research I did on here seemed to suggest that pre-TD5 Disco wheels would fit my vehicle.

Can anyone out there identify what I have bought?

Would have thought they would have fitted on, got grey versions on my 1998 300tdi that came as standard. Called freestyle alloys. Why don't they fit?

I once bought a set of Freestyle's for my 110 Defender. 1990. They did not fit on the front. Had to have spacers. Then I also found out they were not suitable for a 110 due to the load capacity. They are OK on a 90 but not a 110. Invalidates your insurance. Look pretty but no good for any serious off road stuff.

Thanks for the help. To answer James question above, Hub measures 11cm across as does the back of the wheel where it contacts the the hub but then the wheel tapers in so won't sit and therefore the studs (which all line up ok) don't come through far enough. I think as Phil says, I need spacers.
Guy I bought these from said he had them on his 95 Defender but never mentioned spacers, suggesting they would fit any Defender. Buyer beware as they say so my search now turns to spacers. :(

I have a set of those on my 1995 defender and they fit fine without spacers, but currently have 30mm spacers on to fill the arches a bit better.

I don't see why they won't fit if you have rear disks, unless the drive flanges are different in the later 300 tdi.

I wonder if that is it, Were the the drive flanges different on the TDI disc braked models? And I thought swopping wheels was going to be easy:confused: Still, I am learning!!
