hi all, i have a 110 td5 defender special vehicles (ex nat grid), i decided to change the front bumper today and have run into a snag. There is a throttle control and external power point mounted on the old bumper which is being a nightmare to get off, as ive never used it and not even sure if it works.....can i just snip it and bin it?? i only ask as ive got no wiring diagrams and the wiring looks to go to the ecu and as it is a throttle control although redundant, thought it might be a bit dodgy.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated before i get the snips out. Ta, Dan.

no reason why, but safe way is follow or track wire back , probably to the battery, then disconnect it, last thing you want is a sparky, or snip 1 wire and insulate then snip the other , as for the throttle cable disconect that and away to go

for power point disconect battery and cut cable then isolate the end wi conecter block or some other method and water proof it in a maplics IP65 or higher weather proof junction box
not sure about throtle may well be an aux throtle to rev injun when out off vehicle as ive seen that before should be ok to cut but better to trace and look for s second conecction to the trotle lever on the fuel pump
