The hazards on my 1980 series III don`t work, (they are the push/pull switch type with a 2 pin flasher unit in the auxillary switch panel) .Do these switches cause a lot of trouble? (Tried disconnecting the wires from the switch but then normal indicators stop working). As pre 85 Landys don`t have to have them, can I remove them, if so, anyone know how?

D90Mitch......As it is at present, the switch bulb flashes and you can hear the flasher relay (round can type with 2 pins) but the external flashers don`t work and neither do the dash warning lights.

if your build date is before the requirement date then feel free to remove, I don't have them in mine nor do I have fogs

Tis mildly annoying not having them ever now and then so I've gotta twirly flashy amber jobby to dangle on the roofrack if I need to be stopped anywhere stupid

For some unknown reason other road users seem to take more notice of a "twirly flashy amber jobby" on the roof than they do the usual hazard flashers.

Thing is they are only allowed when "recovering" or on certain other vehicles at specified times.
Not as Essex CC thought as a cover all on their bin lorries done well and truly for causing an obstruction down country lanes, Wasn't me honest:rolleyes:
