Hello,

My NA 90 is spurting blueish smoke, and has a horrendus oil leak through the wading plug hole in the timing case.

Is there anyone that might be able to let me know what could be wrong with it? i've had piston rings bounded around a bit, but want to dis-count anything else...the other fuids are fine, is there anyone who could help please?

Thanks!

Front oil seal sounds like its gone if you are losing oil thru timing cover. Dunno about the blue smoke issue though

Sounds to me like 2 un-related problems.

The blue smoke will either be piston rings or valve stem seals/guides. If you have a diesel compression tester, or have access to one, you could test this with some machine oil to see if the pressure drops before and after some oil is entered into the combustion chamber.

The leak out of the timing case will be a front engine seal either crank or cam, probably crank.

Oh and you'll also need to replace the timing belt because it will be contaminated. If it's as bad as you're saying it could go any moment so I'd say stop using it until it's fixed.
