...if I register my RRC as an LPG vehicle? Bascially, it's still got petrol tank and starts on petrol, but has an LPG tank too. Would this qualify for cheaper car tax and/or free entry to the London Congestion Charge zone?

Cheers!

Stop paying tax and SORN it. Then buy one of those things Bae invented that make tanks look like Range Rovers. Make it look like a pushbike and your sorted. You should be able to get the kit and software for 20 or 30 million.

The vehicle has to be listed on the powershift register, and as far as I'm aware no Range Rover running an after market LPG system is. My LPG Transit is:) and at £9.00 a day (£10.00 if you are not on auto pay) is quite a considerable saving if you go in every day.

Unfortunately Boris is doing away with this little perk in Dec 2012 when it will become emission based only and a 2003 LPG Transit gets nowhere near it:mad:

I think if its on the log book as duel fuel it gets exempt from the congestion charge look at TFL web site thats transport for london.

Don't quote me on this but yes it may be. But like anyone with a blue badge is also exempt, there is i believe a registration fee to pay. Last time i looked it was £80.00. So it's cheaper if your only going into the zone once (passing through) to pay the congestion charge.

if you want free tax you should have got an early 2 door like I said mike :D

about the same ammount of work to get it up to spec as you have done too :p :D

bet you love all us helpfull people  lol :p

I looked into this when i i got mine, dvla said i could get a £10 discount on road tax but as said if its not on the TFL list its not coming in. couldnt be arsed for a tenner
