Looks like the problem with the wife's '99 Thor is a sync issue.
Does anyone have a suitable Sync-Mate which I can borrow to prove the issue.

If it's happened once it will happen again. buy your own syncmate as insurance.

I just want to make sure that it is the problem before I shell out 90 quid for my own.

That's what my wife said followed rather quickly with "buy one you miserable bastard - you would have done if it was your car sat on the drive going nowhere."

So without any further ado one has been purchased from Bell Auto services. They are an approved reseller for BBS with cheeper shipping costs.
