hallo,

Just been to my local garage to enquire about having the cambelt done on the pick up and they gave me the following:

>Their manual said 4 hours

>Parts £65 plus VAT

> Labour £150 + £65 + VAT.

Is that a good estimation of the time, I understand it could be a breeze or not (ceased bolts etc) but I heard this engines good to work on...?

Labour wise is that a good price, I'm not a money grabbing price hunting compare.com consumer but i dont want to be ripped!

I'm in the northampton area so if anyones competent and fancies some cash just before christmas.. let me know

ThankS!

yeps...250 quid and a guarantee/peace of mind...or someone you trust and is competent...still got to buy parts, so if someone will do it for 100....you save 100. Whatcha gonna do....

hopefully someone will offer their services and I'd probably go with that, if they'd be happ to do it for 100 quid

id start a thread on general thread..£100 to change my cambelt nr northampton...see how many offers you get..

Shame you're not in south yorkshire mate, i would have done it for £100 and supplied the belt! I've just done mine and made a tool to hold the crank pulley, to get the crank pulley bolt out.

There you go...a drive up, day out, yorky pud dinner in the pub...and you save £150 quid...
