A andynwas Member Feb 28, 2016 #1 Rebuilt the top end of my td5,the cam chain pulley has 3 elongated holes in it,am I right in thinking this will adjust or retard the timing slightly.

jamesmartin Well-Known Member Feb 28, 2016 #2 yes it allows for the fact a chain can only be adjusted one tooth either way, cam timing is critical so get it spot on
