As i am currently selling my range rover. I have been approached by someone abroad who would like to buy and ship the car over to canada
He says he would like to pay by bankers draft then he will arrange for the car to be picked up and shipped.
Is there anythnig i should be aware of, is this a scam or real? I really dont know what to do

Car scams

Bankers drafts can be "recalled" up to 10 working days after they apparently appear in your account. Also, of course, they will need your account details - sort code, account name and number - which they could then use fraudulently!
Beware!

Not wanting to sound to naive, but my bank assures me that if they pay by bankers draft, all will be ok. Can bankers drafts bounce?
I obviously dont want to take some spotty teenager in a call centres word for it as its not his money his playing with

If you receive any email or phone call from someone outside the UK claiming that they are interested in your car we would advise you to ignore it, and do not engage in any further dialogue with them. It is more likely than not to be a scam.

Theres been a recent trend to buy cars via the net with Bankers drafts - that turn out to be forgeries - i dont know what to look for on one -do you?

also when i used a genuine one to pay in it took a few working to "clear" & as already mentioned they can be recalled - what a night mare
