I was in halfords a while ago and saw some O rings in a box. I thought to myself it would be a good idea to buy a box of mixed sized O ring for my Freelander, just in case I needs em. Is it a good idea and if so what should I buy? Somefink like this?

ive had a box of these for years mate always good to have handy

saying that tho ive only ever used one of them and it was for the trolly jack :)

I get the feeling they int always suitable for some chemicals, like petrol. Green ones are special for air con.

Lol.
I have two full boxes of various sized O-rings, prolly about 60/70 different sizes, and guess what, over the years when needing an O-ring for something or other, I've NEVER had the right size. Trouble is, there are hundreds of different sizes and thicknesses, so prolly better off ordering one when you need it from a stockist. Bugger eh?

I got a box of 450 from Aldi a while back for £6.99 . Annoyingly there isnt one that is an exact match for the Thermostat on my V6 which might go some way to explaining why it's now leaking :( :(

I have to agree - I too have a box of assorted sizes - but none of them were any use to fix my Karcher or my hose fittings. :(

Lots of the right sizes on ebay that arrive within 48 hrs. :)
