In preparation for pulling my 90 apart over the summer, i was wondering about which bushes to use. A lot of people love poly bushes and others swear by rubber but which is best? A mate of mine works for a Landy dealership and reckons rubbers are ****e but another professional said to stick with rubber as apparently polys can detereorate?
The 90 will be running a 2 inch lift with 5 inch shocks, off roading regularly but also occassionally towing and quite a few 100 mile journeys a month if it helps.
Cheers guys, Harry

Polys last 6 - 12 months
OEM Rubber last 10 - 15 years
You decide.

Have to agree.... have seen many complaints about poly bushes lasting short periods but no complaints about rubbers. If it aint bust.... dont fix it :)

I'm glad i've read this post, i've been thinking of polybushing but now im not so sure...

The poly bushes in my Cosworth outlasted the motor. Might have had something to do with it catching fire though.

OK thanks chaps, genuine rubber it is. Are they arabs to fit or is that just to remove the knackered ones? Do I use grease/copperslip etc when fitting them? Do you reckon it's doable with a gas axe and a hacksaw for removal and a large vice with 4ft of tube off the handle to refit the new ones or do i still need a press?
many thanks for the help so far, Harry
