Yes, I think so, there can be a slight twist to them. It might be a result of "adjusting" to fit Landrover tolerances.

As far as I know, the originals were made with the twist. Both of mine had the twist when I stripped my Series down.
I bought two newly made galvanised replacements which didn't fit right as they were flat.
One of my originals was usable, but the other had badly rusted and flaked away to nothing in places.
I ended up sourcing another used orignal, which also had the twist.
I had both these originals shot blasted and painted black with industrial two-pack paint. They looked as good as new after that and were a much better fit.
