Hi Guys and Girls, Just wondering if anybody knows of a website that where when you enter your VIN number it will come up with the date and time your beloved came off the line with it's build specs as I know there is one for my Rover 75? It has a bit of good info on it. Just wondering.

We had a member on here that worked at JLR and I got my full spec from him. He also pulled the "recall" info for your car too!
Cannot remember his username though (my bad).

Inundated with requests for build specs. I don't trust them much as it said mine had a Warner winch fitted. Main dealer pulled the screen up when I went in.

My build docs say I have a 2-pin diff on a 4.6 when conventional wisdom suggested all 4.6's had a 4-pin unit.

Yes 4pin was added along with 4 wheel tracs,.

How do you tell for sure? If the factory docs say 2 pin....surely that's what it is?

I've had the front diff out of mine to replace the Gasket, and it was 4-pin..

They introduced the 4pin with 4 wheel tracs on the 4.6

my spec sheet says my car is oslo blue, so yes there can be mistakes made!!

Some of the early 4W TC ones had 2pin still. There was a long thread about 5 or 6 years ago.
