I tried to jam my key into a frozen petrol cap today. Unfortunately the key snapped in it!

I managed to get the end out, but now I can't undo the cap as my key is in two halves.

Can I just get a new key? Or must I get a new filler cap. If the latter, how do I get the current cap off?

Take the 2 bits of key to a key cutting place - some will be able to cut you a new key

new caps aint exspensive and u will get 2 keys anorl

Same thing happened to me, prised it up and off with big chisel.

Had that happen in a van pushed the snapped end back in and just pushed the stub in when I needed it

for the moment bud drivers seat off, panel off, right most hole off and then fill herup from the top

Managed to get it sorted today!

I took the key to 'John's Car Keys Ltd' on Uttoxeter New Road in Derby, and he managed to cut me a new key from the two halves. My key is apparently an old Ford ignition key?!?

Anyhew - for £6 I'm up and running again - Result!
