Good response but on the other hand it should have been built properly in the first place!

There is a saying **** happens, and that is why good company's have warranties. If that is what you think and expect then there would never need to be a warranty on goods and products

True, but I'd expect a hand-built engine to be better than a factory one. I've built (god knows) 50+ engines in my lifetime - I don't know of a single failure through build issues and the Rover V8 ain't exactly high-tech or highly-stressed. Anyhow, well done to the company for standing by their product.
