hi Just wondered if anyone has fitted a set of blend motors from Britpart and are they any good? The price at Island 4x4 looks good at £119

It's the sort of job you only want to do once. I'd find out who actually makes them before committing. My recent experiences of britpart have not been good.

I know britpart parts are sometimes poor, but thought they may be OEM in a britpart box like the air bags are.

ebay Item number: 330406213816, this is what i used and was very pleased . genuine part.

I got one from Island in the summer and I'm 99% sure it was branded Valeo. I'm always afraid of fitting Britpart and I don't recall having had any concerns about that particular part.

Thanks for the replies. I have ordered these from island 4x4:

Range Rover P38 Heater Blend Motor (Britpart) STC3259 £119.99

I will feedback how I get on and the quality

Dean68UK....

I, too, will soon have to change my blend motors....

I would appreciate it if you could feedback on how the install went and what problems you encountered....

Keen to read all I can prior to embarking on such a venture....and to get it first hand from yourself would be exceptional quality info....

To install them is fiddly.Have a good magnetic
pozi screwdriver.and when you do the driver side
Cut the ducting in half that covers the motors and pull it
out the way.while your at it you can do the o rings.
They were easy.check out rangerovers loads of info there.

Thanks for the tips. I have done the O seals already so my duct is already cut. That was a fun job! I will try to take photos and post my results.

Huh... the originals ant all that, give the britpart ones a go, cant be much worse !!!

I'm not sure it really matter what make you buy lets face it the OE parts were sh!te anyway
Reliable and Range Rover are not normally words you read very often

It's not really the blends that are the problem - it's the crap manufacturing quality of the heater itself where all the flaps jam and strip the teeth off the gears in the blend motors.

Of course, if the gears weren't made of plastic, they would probably last better.

The plastic used in the P38 is awful when you consider the cost of the vehicle new. When I looked at the old blend motor I thought they were quite poor for OEM stuff.

Indeed, the very same motors fitted to many PSA group cars never go wrong.
