Was a pleasurable couple of hours. All the decent trade names there and good to chat.

Put a face to the name and ticked the #37 box.

Also the bling in the car park.

Better than staying at home and spoon feeding the wife on behalf of the son for Mothers day.

I had a good time anyway :D

Thanks to Mark and Kipper and good to meet you two chaps, I didn't get anywhere near enough votes to win though, macsports SJ came third and then second and first were a pair of rebuilt 90s, I think the fact that they were owned by young lads went in their favour, the winner was a very nice job indeed tbh, lots of galvanising and finishing touches etc.

Rather a cold wet experience camping last night but I did the solo beer challenge so soon forgot about it, got a much needed early night, and a decent shower in the morning. And hopefully the receptionist will call me :)

Cheers!

Was the sj the one with landcruiser axles?
Being in the trade , I wanted a good look what every one was up to but all I saw was chinese junk with the exception of a few cool trucks and the few big boys who had turned up.
Bit gutted as it was a 360m round journey in a 12mpg bmw m5

Hi mate

Yes it was, 80 series cruiser axles iirc and 38" creepy crawlers.

Im not a show veteran but it kept me entertained for 2 days. I like the fact that it's not just land rover, you can get bored of it!

yeah id say so mate, paul presented a few of the seminars they had throughout the weekend along with the the likes of david bowyer (****ing legend) and the lads from Nene, various AWDC and tracks and trails folks etc, so yeah id say they were certainly considered that way.

cant deny that the SJ did seem a bit thrown together for a professional demo/comp vehicle...

Also had a good couple of hours having a look round, Seemed less there though compared with last years show upstairs in particular.
All in all not a bad show just smaller
