Get hold of a pressure bleeding kit and about 2.5 liters of DOT 4 fluid. You may as well replace the fluid, it will do no harm..I replace mine every 2 years. Follow the instructions on RAVE. The Master Cylinder bleed points are a bit awkward but do-able. You can easily do it single handed.
Suggest you soak the bleed nipple threads beforehand with penetrating oil and use a ring spanner to initially crack them open, an open ended spanner will probably round the hexagons off if you use it on bleed nipples that haven't been disturbed for years.

No problem with leaks if the reservoir bottle and master cylinder caps are sealed properly. Biggest problem is when the jam jar or similar gets knocked over when the bleed nipple is tightened and the bleed tube gives it a nudge!

Ey up Old Un.....I might knock a jam jar full of manky brake fluid over, but never a glass full or otherwise of alcoholic content !! The only place that gets spilt is down me throat.
