Hi folks, Just bought a nice solid early Series 3, and one of the mot fails was for the servo not working. After establishing the vacuum was ok I fitted a new servo but the problem is still there in that the brakes barely work and you have to stand on the pedal; what should I be checking/ replacing next?

hard pedal or lots of travel pedal ?

Are you sure there are no vacuum leaks? I had to fit jubilee clips to my piping and fix leaks at carb elbow etc before I got full servo working...

Check that the actuator push rod is coming far enough back to allow the piston to do it's job. If it ain't ... it won't!
