and not of these.
No reflection on manufacture or supplier, just an ease of use and quality of flare comment
Take your point but who is gonna pay £140 for a pipe flaring kit for the odd pipe, when a £14 one will do?

thank's for the reply's guy's,ive never made my own brake line's before so can't justify spending a substantial amount on tools that arnt going to be used very often,the top one in your pic andy looks as though it should be bench/vice mounted'' which in it's self is a problem as i don't have a bench'looks a well made piece of kit though,now the bottom one seem's more user friendly to me in the way that i could use it close to the vehicle i'm working on but thats just my take on it.

dont suppose you know if you can get the flare forms for different size flares do ya ? and in that kit you got how many flaring formers are there and what size are they ? .

Hee hee, I can fully recommend the Teflon tutorial; I made H.L.'s new brake pipes up under his expert supervision the only problem I had was my little girly hands were at times a tad lacking in 'grunt' to get a nicely formed flare, so if a vice was available, it would be a help in this, as 2 hands could be used to turn the flaring lever doo-dah
