Hi all
I’ve got a 2004 rr vogue 4.4 v8 but on braking I’m finding the back brakes are doing all the work and the front brakes pretty ineffective, if it’s a gentle brake it’s not too bad but if I need to come to a quick stop the brake pedal is pretty hard and I struggle to stop without a lot of pressure on the pedal

Sounds like the power assistance has packed up, but I don't know your model. I don't think it should be driven until fixed.

Second that. All range rovers are big heavy old beasts to bring to a halt. Really needs looking at urgently. Aren’t there any fault messages displayed on the Dash? Needs diagnostics to confirm fault.

I’ve had it plugged in and read showing no faults and no warning lights I just don’t understand why its putting more brake to the rear than the front brakes and why the pedal is only hard when you need to stop a bit sharper. If it’s not electrical and not causing warnings is there something mechanical that you could point me in the right direction to try

There should be a pressure compensator somewhere that reduces pressure to rears and puts full pressure to fronts. Has anyone been playing with the system and piped it up wrong.

Not as far as I know have had the car just over 2 years and only started playing up last couple of months but has worsened just don’t know how to rectify it
