Took the old gal for her MOT yesterday and ma glad to say she passed, no problems at all, was told that the brake discs on the front are getting quite low and will need doing sooner rather than later, so i'm after some suggestions as to which brand are worth buying.

Priced up a few from different sites and Brookwells were about the cheapest, 2 front discs (lockheed) and Pads (lockheed) delivered for about £130, or worked out at another £30 to do the rears aswell ( again all lockheed)

Is £160 a fair price for 4 discs and 8 pads?

Is worth doing the back ones when the tester didn't mention them?

Cheers,

Stuart.

if i don't have to change the rear ones i could go for EDC, is it recommneded you do all brakes at same time?

No. You are better off doing one set at a time and letting them bed in before doing the next set. As long as you are doing em in pairs that is fine.

I just bought and fitted new EBC Discs and Green Stuff pads a few weeks ago from www.powerstop.co.uk cost me about £270, although they aint any where near bedded in yet I can certainly feel a huge improvement :)

I just need someone that knows how to bleed brakes so I can change the brake fluid as the brakes are a bit spongey at the minute....

True, we could always do it in the car park of the hotel where we are meeting for the SLUTS meet up, who wants to pump me thingy?
