Hello all!
Just received my foglight kit from a guy in New York. It's for my 2001 Freelander.
Looks like the lamps are the same as for the F2, anyone know if the US marked used different foglights then the Europeen? From what I can see in pictures, UK/Euro models use the same lamp as in my Rover 75 and MGF.
Partnumber: STC53048

Sorry if I post stupid questions, I'm a new to this forum and LR ownership..

those are light pods, not fog lights

No, they are fog lights.

It's not the pods. I'll see if I can't take some photos..

I can now see that they are different from the Freelander 2 ones, but still different from the UK/euro ones (At least in my mind)..

looking at the bumper drawing in the fitting instructions I think they are for the facelift Freelander

No they are for the preface lift. The facelift one start with a VUB. Mortens start with STC. I would have thought since American and Norwegians drive on the same side it should be suitable for Norway.

but there is no difference between LHD and RHD when it comes to fog lights as its a symmetrical beam.

They look nothing like the fog lights on my FL1. They seem to be poisoned to far around the bend of the bumper to me. I'll get a pic tomorrow to show what I mean.

I'll install my kit and take some pictures, if that's of interest to anyone.
A far as I can tell, it's not post facelift lamps and not standard mg-rover lamps.

They look to me like the ones above from the lens shape,
but with an extended holder that sits the same as the pre facelift
but maybe a little deeper..

I have just won a set of FL1 Fogs..
and they look much shallower than yours..

I take it yours are supposed to fit like these??

I may never get around to fitting mine, but they were a bit of a bargain..

I know I'm new to the LR scene, but I do believe pre facelift fl1 in North America had different fog lights .

On a side note, mine are not oval, they are in the shape of a perfect circle.

I know the mg-rover ones pretty good after fitting them to my 75 and F.

If you have a look at you're second picture and the fourth post/page one, it should fit, towing eye right next to the foglight,

Hi the front bumper is different profile on the V6 compared to Td4 / K1.8 and therefore I think you may struggle to fit those to a non V6 car.

Thank's for that info, anyone got pictures of the two? The solution may be to get hold of a V6 bumper then?
