Found this hanging under the front of my Freelander 2, should I be worried?

Maybe the chassis rusted away and the bolt fell out, looks a bit rusty.

Looks like a crossmember bolt to me.

Just read it again, when you say "hanging " do you mean "hanging "out of a hole or hanging around on the floor doing nothing, or rolling around in the undertray maybe.
Either way it should be holding an important item, suspension, subframe maybe.
Have a good look around, might become obvious.

that looks quite a meaty bolt and pretty rusty I would be checking the subframe mountains

I second @lynall - that looks like it could be a LR subframe mounting bolt.
(Just replaced the rear on my F2)

Difficult to tell the size from the photo… if it’s the subframe bolt, it’ll be about 6” long. How big is the washer?
