Body cappings on my 110 are looking shot with tin worm. I managed to get hold of some galv ones for my old truck, but hard to come by. Have any of you got round the problem of fixing or replacing them? If so how?

Many thanks

Yep

Step 1 Drill all the rivets out.

Step 2 pry, force, and rip the cappings off the tub (the sealant is a pig)

Step 3 buckle twist and generally bugger up the top of the tub, getting the cappings off and spend a day trying to panel beat em back into shape.

Step 4 look on ebay for a replacement tub

Step 5 fit new tub and breathe a sigh of relief..

I did think of butchering the cappings on there and some 90 ones and just cut and replace the rusty parts! Is there a company that sells cappings? I'm looking through LRO mag for an advert!

ive got a pair of 110 cappings off my td5, they have a patch of rust on them but arent perforated , could be stripped and galvenised, if your interested

I pick this 110 up tomorrow. I'm interested in your cappings but depends where you are and how much? Thanks!

Ok johnlad. I'll PM you during the week and possibly sort something out. It'll tidy it up no end. Ally cappings would be less hassle!! Lol
