Sorry, short circuits blow fuses not bulbs. If the voltage is correct, i.e the alternator regulator is limiting the voltage to a max of 14.5 then the bulb can only draw it's rated current. Ohms law:behindsofa: Put a test meter on the battery and rev the engine and hold at 2500rpm, you should get a voltage reading of 13.8 to 14.5 volts. More likely your problem is crap bulbs as suggested or even a bad earth.
