Anyone experienced problems with an intermittent fault on their blind spot detection system - and know what the fix is?

I do and don’t think it’s a great idea in the first place but as it’s there it’s actually annoying when it’s flashing away in the mirror!

Yes it can and I’ll do that eventually if I can’t find a fix. Just thought first option should be getting it to work seeing as it’s there! Also thinking about when I come to sell it I’d like everything to be working.

I'd get the codes read, as the system is 100% electronic. If there's an issue with it, then the module will store a code.

Does it work from the cameras? I thought it had separate sensors in the mirror housings but will stand corrected. Thanks

Lane assist uses a camera.
Blind spot systems use radar sensors in the corners of the rear bumper.

Ok thanks. It’s the blind spot detection that has a problem. I’m thinking no quick fix though.

You need to get the fault codes, before moving forwards. So either buy a suitable code reader, or pay to have them read, and go from there.
