To cut a long story short I replaced all 3 blend motors last month with new Valeo ones, as I had the book symbol and my Faultmate showed re-occurring issues with all 3.

Unfortunately as I didn't have my Faultmate with me when I replaced them so couldn't use the calibrate function.

After a month and about 250 miles the book symbol is back, I checked last night and it was reporting right hand blend motor stalled position. I cleared the fault ran a calibration I checked using the output and I could drive all 3 motors across the full range of their movement.

This morning on the way to work the book symbol returned and checking tonight I got right hand blend motor potentiometer circuit has failed, and checking the readings it is showing 122%.

I tried clearing the fault but it comes straight back, I then tried manual using the outputs to drive the blend motor but it just stayed T 122%, and also caused the ecu to generate another stalled fault as well.

Any suggestions how I might kick it back into life other than a new blend motor ?

Thanks,
Jamie.

If when you manually moved it and the Postion Pot stayed at 122%, sounds to me like it is either a duff Blend Motor or one of the wires is adrift....

Did you splice in the motors, or did you replace the loom too??

When I say manually moved it I used the Faultmate to drive it to 0% or at least attempt to.

I used a full kit so soldering required from me.

Think my next step at the weekend will be to remove it from the heater box and see how it performs, unless there are any other better suggestions before then.
