So i changed the s shape intercooler hose today because is was starting to seep oil but any way while the hose was off i thought if i start it it will put out black smoke out the exhaust under throttle ? But no nothing should there of been ?

So ive a freelander thats like no other.

Dont know if that a good thing or a bad thing

Did you drive it without the hose, or just rev it up on the drive? If it was just revving on the drive then the engine didn't have any load on it. If you want to see black smoke then take the hose off, hitch up a heavy caravan and tow it up a hill

did you actually drive it or just let it idle

i guess you wont see the black smoke unless you put the go button fully down
