This may be of interest to some of you here so here its is.. how to fix the load area to underseat pannel on a 110 CSW - something that is subject to rot, especially at the lip which supports the mid-row floor panne, and can leave your floor a little unstable..

The replacement pannel from LR is a fortune but if you manage to source a decent bit of aluminium you can get your friendly engineering works to bend it to shape for a about 25 quid. With an angle grinder, some construction adhesive and a fist full of stainless fastenings you can make it as good as new.

Love the work m8! mine was the same -badly rotted round the second row seat fittings where they fix through the lip -one hole was so big i could get my hand through it!

Ahh, Cheers. I'm very pleased with it. I fitted new carpets and wotnot since and it looks rather nice even though I do say so myself.

They do like to rot there. I think its the steel in the lower seat brackets reacting. I use the LR for ferry my wee boys and their mates around a lot and it was starting to worry me a bit. The old road sign (Its OK, it got it legitimately) is such good quality aluminium - much better then the original - and protected by the facia of the sign - that it should do for a good few years. It should give the MOT tester a laugh when it goes in tomorrow too.

I think the trick is to find the person at your local council responsible for replacing road signs that have worn out, blown down or just need replacing and make a polite enquiry. Faling that you need a petrol driven disk cutter and a moonless night.
