Hi all,

Bit of a silly one, I've got an X-eng pedal lock and when I lock it it pushes the brake pedal about half way down.

Anyway, does it matter having the brakes under pressure every night? Sounds abit silly I know but I didn't know if it's going to cause somthing to start wearing or leaking from strain etc etc.

Im sorry for sounding so stupid but just wanted to clear it up

In theory the system should hold preasure
But as stuff gets old and worn you may create a leak



dose the lock become loose if the pedal goes soft,
is the lock any good if loose,
can some one cut a break flexi to make it loose,

it locks against the top of the brake pedal so it doesn't really matter if the pedal is up or down as it would still be the same at the top of pedal if makes sense?

I'd personally be uncomfortable leaving a hydraulic system under pressure for significant lengths of time, it's surely going to cause early failures of seals and alike?

I agree, in theory it should all be ok, but, it's not something i'd be happy with.
