hi

about 20 min ago drove my freelander through a big puddle, now it has a lack of power creamy oil in the oil cap and its blowing badly through the oil filler hole

i'm hoping my head gasket has gone and that i haven't warpped the blocks or cracked them.

any ideas if this is what's happened and any guess at a price

cheers

i would say about 2 foot bit of a wade, came in to it a bit quick

60cm is deeper than the recommended wading depth for a deepender never mind a gaylander. My guess would be an hydraulicked injun. and a bent conrod.

it seems to be running fine apart from the blowing out the oil cap

is there some big door gag coming my way

no door jokes, running fine it maybe but to be honest you need to sort asap before you do more damage than you already have if you live near swansea i would be willing to do the job

i'm up in cumbria so alittle far but thanks for the offer

i think its time to take it to the garage :(

thanks for all your help guys

cheers

If you're sure you've not been losing coolant, then you have probably got water in your engine from the puddle. Have a look in the air filter housing, is it wet?, is the air filter wet?
