Well I've used B&A twice. First time there was a bit of surface rust showing after 4 years and he redid it free as promised (1993 Disco V8). Sailed through all its MoTs for the 7 years I owned the car and never needed welding - sold it last year and it was as good as new underneath.
I had my current D2 done soon after buying it.
I agree his customer skills are not wonderful and it is expensive but AFAIC I'd rather pay the money than spend hours on a filthy job that I don't have the equipment to do properly.
But obviously Mr/Ms Fanatic knows things I don't.

He's going to have a look first see what it needs... then give me a price. He was always reasonably priced, he even asked if the underneath was clean... he remembered that one of mine turned up totally caked in mud for an MOT....ooops..
