In stock form they're almost as good as a Defender, thing that lets them down is less ground clearance as the spring hangers get hooked up, less articulation and less power. All those things can be addressed by bigger tyres, Parabolic springs and engine swaps. do as much or as little as you want. Parts are cheap as chips.i understand that 90 can be pure beast off road, but how good are series 3 just no one i know has one so never seen one in action
that puts me off the older discos. its not the boot floor or the sills its just getting a good chassis to build around. it is not worth gettin a new one for an old disco. so would have to look for a good one.
