Right. Had a look at the tensioner pulley wheel, the Dayco wheel is fitted with a Koyo bearing 6203RR9D, which is not listed on websites such as simplybearings.co.uk, but they are other updated versions of the same thing which would do the job fine.
HOWEVER... all 6203 bearings have an outside diameter of 40mm (inside diameter 17mm, width 12mm). The hole in the Dayco pulley is 37mm both sides. This means that the pulley has been injection moulded around the bearing. It can't be pushed out and replaced. So I'll have to bite the bullet and order a new tensioner assembly. They are not expensive really, but I normally like to fix stuff rather than buy new!
Sounds like the Disco tensioner pulleys must be press fitted and locked in with a circlip? Obviously Land Rover thought that was beyond the scope of a Range Rover owners butler and made it so you had to buy new.
