:screaming_bug_eye_fOK then, time to sort out this BECM issue...clearly, given the state of the driver's door card, and the panel under the driver's seat...somebody has been furking about with the BECM. There are tiny bits of wire insulation under the seat, which would indicate some wire stripping has gone on, I have a permanent message displayed saying 'Market not set', the front doors do not lock/unlock off the fob and the interior lights do not work, although the puddle lights do! When I had the EAS reset at land-ranger services, they looked at setting the market for me but said that the BECM was locked and I would have to go to the main dealer to get it unlocked. Now the advice I have had on here with regard to the BECM and fusebox has been very good, but I am going to have to start somewhere. It seems logical to me, (although I haven't a freakin clue to be honest) that the evidence points to a replacement BECM job that has gone horrendously wrong! Maybe the BECM isn't suitable for my 4.0se? It may very well be that the RF thingamajig has burned out, and indeed, it may be that the fusebox has also, but then, if the BECM is the wrong/faulty unit....that may be the silver bullet so to speak. So, any thoughts chaps?

Talk to Rick-the-Pick.
He's on here and his business is sorting BECMs.
He is the man, accept no substitutes.

Market can be set if that is the problem. Main dealer cannot unlock a locked BECM with Testbook, it can be done with Faultmate. It doesn't sound like there is much wrong with your BECM but Rick is the man to sort it.
