Hi all

I had a good deal today on a new battery for my 1998 Freelander 1 but before I disconnect the old battery is there any quirky thing I should be aware of ?

Or is it just take the old one out and stick the new one in ?

Any advice is always appreciated.

Cheers - Dave

I think they mean the tailgate window! Lol
Just google Freelander battery change rear window, there should be info there to explain

wrong answer! it will stay open till you calibrate it again,
just push tailgate window button to close it and after it is shut keep it pressed for extra 5 seconds.

OMG just been reading a few horror stories on here regards the tailgate window when replacing the battery.
I was thinking maybe radio or immobiliser would need resetting somehow but would have never thought it was rear window,
I will give it a go and as long as I can still drive it I will do so for the day even with the window down if I have too with the exhaust fumes rolling in lol.
Thanks again for everyone's help
Dave
