Do you mean the pin which is attached to the bracket on the chassis.

The holes on the bracket should be shaped to take the flat edges on the pin body to stop it from turning.

Photo shows what I am talking about better than I can explain it. The pin has two machined faces which should lock into the slot.

It's not that bit, it's the hand break linkage, looks like there is a bush or a part that acts as a bush that had siezed
