hi guys! busy doing the tip run over the weekend, folded the n/s/ back seat down and now it won't go back up! it looks like the seat belt has locked up! any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Stupid question but you did lift the Handle on the back of the seat?

yes! it looks like the seat belt has actually locked on the tensioner?

Hi. Similar thing happened with my Freelander. Got the old WD40 out, sprayed the mechanisms, two mins later sorted! Give it a try!

try tapping the tensioner with a hammer maybe

You need to make sure the base is properly locked into position before the back rest will hinge upward. Try pressing down onto the base and see if the back rest goes up.

problem sorted..... sort of! the seat is now back in the upright position! trouble is the seat belt is knackered! have got it sitting on the back seat! any ideas as to where i can get another one?
