Hi all is it possible to replace my defender front axle for a front discovery 300tdi axle, or is there anything else envolved in it. thanks

yes it will fit but you may have problems if you have a twin brakeline disco axle
the late 300 axles come with single brake line to calliper witch is what a defender one is

The axle im after wnt have the calipers so will my defender ones not fit on the axle

is your axle 24 spline or 12 ??

Just bolt the disco Swivel assemblies to your axle case, and swap the diff over.

And yes your calipers will fit the disco hubs.

Doing it this way you will keep your DVLA points for the axle as you still have the original casing.

calipers will fit ,but if fitting 300 tdi axle on earlier def you need to fit the wider radius arms as fiutted to disco or def 300 tdi on ,or fit washers to space out your arms to fit the wider brackets on 300 axle case

Sounds like my question has been answered, but just to check. i need to change the front axle on my 110 pick up its a 1995 and a friend has offered me his serie 1 disco if it will fit. Any advice would be very welcomed. Thanks in advance.
