has anyone ever converted from an auto box to a manual before ,how long does it take ease of job and relative costs just thinking about it as i prefer the manual box to the auto ,current disco is a 300tdi 1994,i wait with baited and stale beer breath

I had a manual before the auto I've got now, and to be honest there isn't anything different in acceleration and fuel economy. But mine's a V8i but also its loads nicer to drive in traffic cause the clutch is quite heavy, when I first got this one I considered swapping as I had another for the spares but now wouldn't as its better IMO.
