Hi all,
Hope someone can shed some light on this ??
After driving for around 15 miles or presumably when everything has warmed up I lose the red illumination lights either side of the D on the selector and also the D indication on the lcd display on the dash. When this happens there is a reluctance to move from a standstill and whilst moving a lack of acceleration. If I pull back slightly on the selector everything lights up again and all is fine.
Also if I leave it to stand for 30 mins it's all fine again for a while.
Any help appreciated.

Sounds like your xyz switch is playing up or maybe a bit lose . It's on the passenger side of the box . I would have a feel and even give it a clean with some electric contact cleaner on the plug

it sounds like a xyz switch issue , car will default to 3rd gear when faults occur making setting off sluggish

Isn't there a earth on the switch that has been known to come adrift?

not that ive seen ,the pulling back a little on lever would suggest poor contacts in the switch
