As they should, my door mirrors dip when I put her into reverse, but only the drivers one will return to normal afterward. Any ideas why the passenger one won't? It's not a problem just a pain in the arse to have to move it back with the direction rocker.

Yeah it's odd Gav but not a big problem, just a pain in the butt that's all. As you say it works fine on the rocker switch.

to be honest i just have the pass side set to as it is when in d, that way i dont have to move it every time i reverse!!!

Good grief! I have the same as well and just do the same as Gav and have it set to the same height in drive and reverse. Must be some weird and wonderful BECM logic at work somewhere....

Blimey, mine does the same too! I posted on this ages ago but got no replies so I assumed it was just mine.

It does return sometimes, but seems to go through phases of not returning. It (nearly) always dips ok. Drivers side behaves fine.

I assumed it was a bad connection somewhere but not got round to investigating further.

I do tend to use this feature to stop me driving over the wife's flower beds when I'm turning round so it would be nice to fix it.

You might need to enable this function, like the windows. Surely you don't want to feel left out? :)

I've always managed without dipping mirrors, so why go looking for trouble? There are enough problems to keep me occupied without adding to the list:eek::eek::eek:

I like mine. Just wish the heated parts worked (I assume this is supposed to come on with the rear window heater?)

Yep they come on with heated rear window/screen. Best feature of my mirrors is they way they go dark when there is a dipstcik behind with headlights on:D:D:D

I've noticed that if the switch is accross to the drivers side, the passenger one doesn't move, but when it's the other way, they both dip :confused::confused:

Ah well it's another one of those P38 quirks that we all love I suppose.
